Model Answer

There are many mistakes people make in life, but the one I regret the most is how I treated a close friend, for several reasons. First, I should have listened more carefully and tried to mend our relationship. If I had communicated honestly, I would have grown strong instead of letting everything fall apart. Second, when he later tried to drop in and talk things through, I told him to walk out and turn around, allowing pride to control my actions rather than choosing understanding. Finally, I now realize that if I had not let my emotions take over, I would not have crumbled, we would have gotten along far better, and although I managed to survive, I lost someone who once stood firmly by my side.
